2021 repress - huge, the full unreleased version of the o.g bboy classic brazilian rhyme straight out the sony tape vaults ( i made that sound easier than it was). not just one for hip-hop heads, the appreciation of this groove is pretty much universal. the track is an uncredited cover of toninho horta s -beijo partido- most likely directly influenced by milton nascimentos version from the lp minas which is a great cheap lp while we are on that. on the flip for the first time on 45 (until someone tells me there is some random german or thai pressing) is one of my old modern spins, best 45 of the year and its only march.

972 originalaufnahmen von der produzentenlegende glen brown im duo mit dem sänger ritchie mcdonald, eine der ungewöhnlichsten soul stimmen die jamaika je hervorgebracht hat, mit dem tune -realize-. die b-seite präsentiert den -determination skank- eine großartige instrumental version, seinerzeit irrtümlich tommy mccook zugeschrieben, hier im zusatz mit bobby ellis und don drummond jr. sowie glen brown als interpret. beide tunes kommen auf einem re-cut des dirty harry riddim und wurden von king tubby abgemsicht.

ltd 2020 repress - doug smith and richard payton, aka 95 north, are a house music production duo from washington dc very well known from all the 90s house music lovers.
their 90s discography is full of hits, including collaborations with crystal waters and sabrynaah pope, and many releases with labels like strictly rhythm, king street, slip n slide and kult records.
* let yourself go* was originally released in 1995, probably one of the best times of their activity in the house music scene.

new soul / boogie discovery out daytona beach, florida. not surprising as its absolutely banging on both sides. big love to brian sears who hooked up with michael gamble on this.

uk oddball boogie rarity licenced direct from the band (with help from friend of aotn russ). i m a bit of a fan of this pop-boogie sound so expect to see more odd little 45s like this.
